classic work in progress: About the Author

I seriously can't believe anyone reads this blog. For that I both thank you and apologize to you.

I am a mom, a wife, a counselor,a runner and a self described "jack of all trades". I can do a little bit of anything and everything. Except play ping pong. I don't know what it is about that stupid little white ball...

I (in no particular order): work part-time as a psychotherapist, love music, run long distances, play and teach guitar, write songs, love a small glass of port, like to travel, like to be active, enter giveaways and love to buy USA made or fair trade and support small business and local farmers, kind of hippy-ish I guess, overthink things, LOVE animals, especially horses, read, have self diagnosed ADD, am fiercely independent and fiercely loyal, am a die hard Green Bay Packers fan and love the Chicago Cubs, love to try new things, am really into making everything from scratch, love food, love God and my Christian spirituality, want Jen Hatmaker to be my best friend, can't imagine life without my precious children or husband, and am hopelessly hopeful.

I am inspired by beauty, goodness and the ability of the human spirit to overcome the most horrible of circumstances. (the latter might explain my minor obsession with reading stories about the Holocaust)
